“We went to the red bridge in Fair Oaks for a nice evening stroll on a Wednesday night. I thought it was strange because Gabe is not an outdoorsy person. There was a bunch of drunk high-schoolers on the bridge so Gabe decided we should hike up to the cliff top overlooking the bridge. I was hungry the whole time since this was around dinner time and we had not eaten yet. There was a family and another couple at the cliff top. We hung around to enjoy the view and as we walked back to the car, Gabe stopped me mid path and got down on one knee. And of course, I said yes! It didn’t go exactly as Gabe planned but it makes an amusing story to tell people!”
