I Carry Your Heart with Me (my sweet sister)
I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) – I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling) – I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) – I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) – And it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant – And whatever a sun will always sing is you – Here is the deepest secret nobody knows – (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) – And this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)
e. e. cummings
After watching the movie, In Her Shoes a few weeks ago and hearing e.e. cummings’ poem read by Maggie at her sister Rose’s wedding…I thought of my baby sister, Hannah. She’s getting married in September *sigh* and I can’t think of a better beau for her than Mat. The two of them together is like, magic!
Hannah: “I love Mat’s smile, the way he makes me laugh and his KISSES! Just knowing he will always be there for me, through the good and the ugly makes me a lucky girl.”
Matt: “I love Hannah’s amazing energy and zest for life! I can’t wait to walk through life, side by side as husband and wife.” (hey, wait that rhymed)
One of my favorites, we call it conversation chalk art.
Their all time favorite thing to do together, FISH!
…and what a fabulous way to end an engagement session… with a little glass of vino!
Mat and Hannah, I am so excited for you two. Looking forward to your coastal wedding in September!
