Better late then never…
Last year the Rummel family, roadtripped for the first time, and fell in love. This will definitely be a yearly thing. We traveled from home to Las Vegas in one day and then on to the Valley of Fire State Park. It was 106 degrees so it was a lot of short walks followed by jumping in the car with the air full blast and gulping water.
I knew on this trip I wanted to do a little personal photography work so I came up with the idea of honoring our beautiful country by photographing Boo at every National or State Park with my American Flag shawl. So you will see as you scroll through my images her posing throughout our trip. One of the images also merited in Shutterfest’s print competition.

Angel’s Landing
A lake in Zion National Park that holds water that is a thousand years old
My amazing photography friend, Sarah Q travels the United States with her family in a converted school bus and photographs families as they go. She met up with us at Bryce Canyon to photography my family. <3 The next six images are Sarah’s work.
Then it was on to Page, Arizona
Horse Shoe Bend
We ended by visiting Hoover Dam, Las Vegas and Mono Lake. I HIGHLY recommend this road trip. Loved every minute of it!
