Tim proposed the day after my birthday in January of this year, outside the courthouse in Auburn, one of our special places. The ring box was quite cumbersome, so he took the ring out of it, wrapped it in tissue and stuffed it in his pocket all evening while we were at dinner. So when he got down on one knee, he was holding just the ring itself. I was so worried about the ring falling out of his hands, that I snatched it up and put it on my finger myself. I was just so anxious to get it safely secured on my finger, lol! Then, I burst into tears for, what felt to both of us, like 10 minutes! It wasn’t until after we started walking back to our hotel that I finally looked down at my finger to see what the ring looked like! – Megan
